Magnetic Covers for Standard 3/4" Dog Hole Sets

Every workbench has a few small annoyances.

For me, one of them was dog holes. Sawdust would collect inside them. Screws and small parts would disappear into them. Every time I cleaned the shop, I seemed to vacuum up another dog hole plug and have to replace it.

After getting tired of the cycle, I designed my own.

Lofi Bench Dog Covers are simple magnetic plugs designed to keep your workbench cleaner, more organized, and ready for work. They fit standard 3/4" bench dog holes and sit flush with the benchtop for a clean, finished appearance. A small integrated lip sits in the chamfer around the hole, helping keep dust and debris from collecting where it doesn't belong. If you've got a Roubo, a Nicholson, or any bench with standard 3/4" holes, these fit.

Each cover has a built-in magnetic nut that adds weight and makes removal quick and easy. I include a dedicated magnet removal tool with every set — just swipe it across the benchtop and the covers pop right up.

These are the same covers I use on my own workbench every day.

Color

These are printed from whatever filament is currently on the printer, so each set is a bit of a surprise — shop-floor roulette. If color matters to you, drop me a note before ordering and I'll do my best to accommodate.

About 3D Printed Parts

These covers are designed as practical shop accessories, not display pieces. Minor layer lines and small cosmetic variations are a normal part of the 3D printing process and do not affect fit or performance.

Each set ships within 1–3 business days from my Long Beach workshop. Designed, printed, and tested in the shop. One less thing to lose down a dog hole.
