The Lofi Plinth is something I designed because I wanted a phone stand that felt at home among the things I chose to keep—a favorite lamp, a stack of books, a well-used desk. Something with weight, warmth, and a purpose beyond holding a charge.

Built from solid walnut and maple, the Plinth holds your phone at a comfortable viewing angle while it charges wirelessly. An acoustic channel in the base directs sound from your phone’s speaker forward. That part works entirely through the shape of the wood—no powered speaker, Bluetooth connection, or electricity needed.

Dark walnut and light maple give the layered body its distinctive striped profile. Each stand is shaped and finished by hand with hardwax oil, bringing out the grain and the natural contrast between the woods. A clear acrylic detail reveals the charging hardware, adding a small glimpse of the technology inside.

It’s a practical object, made with the same attention I give to a piece of furniture. Something useful that also feels worth keeping.

Charging & phone compatibility

Connect the built-in cable to a USB power source, then rest your compatible phone on the stand. A 5V/2A USB wall adapter provides standard charging. For faster charging, use a Quick Charge 3.0 or compatible 9V USB wall adapter. Charging speed depends on your phone and power adapter.

Your phone must support Qi wireless charging and align with the charging pad. Thick cases, wallet attachments, and metal accessories may interfere with charging. Sound projection varies with your phone’s speaker placement and case.

The acoustic amplifier works even when the Plinth is unplugged.

Care

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry afterward. Natural variations in grain and color make each Plinth a little different.
