The Balcony Table
The Balcony Table
Archive Commissions
Handcrafted for a private client. Let’s build something unique together.
Some spaces don't need more.
They need something right.
This table was designed for the in-between places
a morning coffee on a high-rise balcony,
a quiet drink as the light fades over the coast,
a small space that still deserves something beautiful.
Built from reclaimed butcher block, the surface carries a subtle history, softened marks, quiet variation, and a lived-in warmth that can't be replicated with new material. Each plank is carefully selected and arranged, then interrupted with hand-inlaid walnut details that create rhythm across the surface.
The base is minimal and architectural.
Black, grounded, and intentionally understated allowing the top to remain the focal point while giving the piece a sense of structure and permanence.
The proportions are deliberate.
Compact enough for smaller outdoor spaces, but substantial enough to feel like a real table, not an afterthought.
This is a one of a kind piece made for a client who needed something specific:
a table that could live outdoors, fit a tighter footprint, and still feel elevated.
Materials
Reclaimed butcher block
Solid wood walnut inlay
Solid wood base
A Note
No two builds are identical.
The wood will vary. The grain will shift. The story will be different.
That's the point.
Commission a Piece
This table is one example of what's possible.
Most pieces are built in response to a space, a specific footprint, a certain light, a way you want to use it.
If you have something in mind, I'll work with you to design a piece that fits naturally into your environment.
Every build is one of a kind.
Materials, proportions, and details are considered from the ground up.
Start with a space.
We'll build from there.
